No more washing up by hand, ever, with ASKO Duo Pro

2006-01-04
“Development of our new concept, ASKO Duo Pro, was based on the modern kitchen and the way we live today,” says Pernilla Döse, head of design at ASKO.
“We saw a need to make life in the kitchen easier. We want to make time for other things than standing at the sink washing up by hand. Also, because we often use the kitchen as a living room, we want to avoid having a lot of washing up on full view.”

The concept is as simple as it is ingenious. Quite simply, it involves installing two dishwashers. The beauty is that the machines have different functions, but the same design to ensure they match perfectly.

One dishwasher is for standard loads such as plates, glasses and cutlery – as well as fragile china items which are often not suitable for dishwashers. With a range of programs for virtually any load, this standard dishwasher can take 15 complete place settings. In other words, there’s plenty of room after a party or a big family dinner.

The second machine is one of ASKO’s professional dishwashers. With a few adjustments and a new design, it can now deal with the large, awkward items that normally need washing up by hand. The upper rack is for ladles, knives, mixing bowls and similar. Because it is positioned slightly higher up than normal, there’s extra space in the lower rack for large plates, pots and pans, casserole dishes, baking trays, frying pans and so on.

The new Duo Pro concept from ASKO makes life in the kitchen cleaner, tidier, easier and more convenient – particularly if you have a large family and cook a lot, or frequently have friends and family over.
