ASKO Australia continues successful Cares Campaign

ASKO has hosted the second of five ASKO Cares Campaign hospital cheque presentations, with Monash Children’s in Clayton, Victoria, presented with its $10,000 donation.

ASKO has also donated 600 ÖSKA teddy bears to Monash Children’s patients and two very brave young girls, Teaghan and Molly, were presented with their ÖSKA bears during the presentation. The $10,000 donation from ASKO is going towards the purchase of Portable Cardiac Monitors. Babies and children who require cardiac monitoring at Monash Children’s are currently monitored in wards and units with adult patients. The purchase of new cardiac monitors will allow the hospital to treat children in the children’s ward, giving them access to a range of important services including play therapy, extra support for families and outdoor play areas for the young patients and their visiting siblings. ASKO’s National Marketing Manager, James Vogdanos, attended the cheque presentation and was delighted at the response from the children and hospital. “It is heartwarming to know that we have been able to contribute towards the much-needed Portable Cardiac Monitors,” said James.
