Save up to 90% electrical energy
Our market unique Swedish-made HWC - Heating Water Circuit dishwashers, washers and dryers are developed to be heated by an economic and environmentally friendly source of heating water, such as district heating, geothermal heating or solar collector. By replacing the use of electrical energy to your appliances with heating water you will significantly reduce your electrical energy consumption and make a green choice.
HWC dishwashers
Our HWC connected dishwashers have a market unique construction that enables you to adapt your choice of appliance to your source of energy. These products use a circulating heating water flow through a heat exchanger inside the machine. This heats up the process water which reduces the need to operate the traditional electrical heating element inside the machines. This leads to a replacement of the majority (up to 90%) of the electrical power consumption. Of course our HWC dishwashers are also possible to run in standard mode in the absence of heating water, i.e. they can also use 100% electrical heating.

How does it work?
The heating water (supplied from district heating, solar collector or geothermal heating, for instance) is used through a heat exchanger inside the machine to heat up the process water for washers and dishwashers, and the process air in dryers.
The process water is the water that the washer or dishwasher uses to wash the laundry or clean the dishes. Inside the dryer the process air is used for drying the laundry.
Our HWC dishwasher, washer and dryer have two additional connections on the back of the machine. There is one connection for ingoing heating water (in red) and one for outgoing heating water (in blue). The process water (for dishwashers and washers) has its normal water connection to the machine (in yellow).
World-class innovation
Our HWC-products are the result of an interesting project between ASKO and leading researchers, universities and energy companies. The project's aim was to develop technologies and systems, which in an environmentally friendly and electrical energy saving way use heating water to operate household appliances. These Swedish-made products combine world-class innovation and green thinking. They give you the opportunity to significantly reduce your electrical energy consumption by using heating water as an energy carrier.
